Due to midterms and a difficult work schedule, the only restaurant that I was able to eat were one's that were either by school or near/in the mall. So, I decided to make this blog post all about restaurants near campus that I have eaten at or have had delivered. The good thing about these restaurants it that they are all pretty budget-friendly and for the most part I was very satisfied with my meal. Take a break from Monty's...you know you want to!
For sushi I have become a weekly delivery regular of Gan Da Sushi. Everything I have ever ordered was delicious and fresh and I got exactly what the menu description said I would. There are over 100 different varieties of rolls with fun names like "Beyonce", "ET", and "St. John's." The sushi orders also come with one extra piece of sushi that they add in just because they're nice. There is no delivery charge and no minimum order amount, so this is a great place to get sushi without having to splurge or leave the comforts of your room. The one drawback for me is that I'm not a fan of their miso soup, and I love to have miso before my sushi. Otherwise, go check out Gan Da and don't forget the ponzu sauce!
Now Regina's Cafe is the place to go when you want huge portions of yummy Italian food. This restaurant is probably the most popular one in my suite and we are constantly blaming each other for losing the menu. Regina's does have a minimum order amount of $10, but that $10s worth of Italian will last you lunch, dinner, and maybe into the next day. I definitely suggest their Penne a la Vodka and Caesar Salad, but my roomies will swear on their Fettucine Alfredo with Chicken, so basically everything on the menu is great! However, if you are looking for a bite of something sweet, I don't suggest their Tirimisu since it's more like a cake than real Tirimisu; their Oreo Cake, kind of like an oreo cheesecake, isn't bad though.
Their are definitely many other fantastic and budget-friendly restaurants around campus, and a great way to find them would be to just walk around or go to the front desk of every dorm and pick up some of the menus there and just taste around...that's what I did and my stomach thanked me after!
